Running Shoes and Running Trainers

Running TrainersRunning is a hugely popular and cheap and accessible sport. All you need is some running kit and a pair of running shoes. There are many variations of running trainers depending on the type of running that you will be doing. For example, you may be running on a track, running cross country or running a marathon on the road. For each of these activities you will need a specific type of footwear.

They are often made with a rubber sole and cotton or fabric upper. The final design of the trainer will vary depending on the type of running that is being undertaken. There are many different designs of footwear depending on the shape of your foot and running style. There are pairs that fully form the shape of your foot and pairs that provide extra support for the arches.

It is important that you replace your running shoes every 300 - 500 miles as they get worn and lose their support which can be damaging to your feet, knees and joints. It is also important that if you are due to run a race, you have given your new running trainers a chance to break in. This is normally around 30 - 50 miles.

The technology behind this type of footwear has evolved over many years and there are now a wide range of very sophisticated products available on the market. Most of the leading sportswear manufacturers have been in existence for between fifty and one hundred years and they have evolved hugely over this time.

The largest manufacturer in the world is Nike, closely followed by Adidas. They both produce a huge range of footwear for every possible sport. They are also heavily involved in all major sports around the world and feature endorsements with the world’s best players and biggest teams.
